Month 7

Lily turned 7 months on Sunday, which somehow sounds so much older than 6 months. I guess it's because she is now closer to being a year old than being a newborn. She amazes me every day with all of the things she can do and how sweet and friendly she is. Her first tooth popped out this month. We were so lucky- she was a little fussy for 2 days, and constantly wanted to be held (which I did not mind at all- she is normally way too busy to cuddle for too long!!!). She continued to sleep through the night, and the third days there was a little white speck on her gum and she was back to normal! I hope all future teeth come in this easily!

She still loves bath time.

Fun at the park:

She is doing really well with her eating. She has started chewing instead of just sucking on her food, and her pincer grip has really developed. She can pick up cheerios and get them in her mouth by herself a large percent of the time. I'm sure that tooth is coming in handy!

We're all geered up for baseball season!!!

She has been rolling around for a while during play, but that has started to happen during her sleep now. We never know what position she will be in when we go in to get her, but blankets and stuffed animals being strewn about is starting to be pretty normal.

General cuteness:

Shoe shopping- I could not believe how excited she was about the shoes I placed in the cart next to her. Looks like she will inherit a love of shoes from me.

She can now pull herself up to a standing position, given the right hand hold and foot leverage. We just watch in awe.

Her new favorite thing to do in the car is to play with her car seat visor. She pulls it down, blinds herself and squeals, and lets it go to pop back up into place. This, of course, is a neverending cycle.

Last month she started saying Dada, and that is the majority of her vocabulary, but I now have proof that she can say Mama!!!

She LOVES her Nana and Papa- she gets a huge grin whenever she see either of them! We spent the night at their house this weekend so she could spend more time with them before they move to Florida.
