Lily has been all over the place lately. She has been outrageously curious since the day she was born, but now that she has gained a little mobility she is out of control! She was in my lap yesterday and dropped something, and she tried to launch herself as if she were going to go after it. I have to keep a firm grip on her at all times!!! She is all about squealing and shouting and waving things in the air and trying to get at everything. I used to describe her as laid back because she is always in such a good mood, but I don't think I can anymore- she is one hyper child!
Anyway, last night she did a maneuver that Clay and I have been laughing about ever since. We were moving some furniture around and placed her on her back in her swing.
The next time we looked she was like so:
She had flipped onto her stomach and was trying to get at things behind her swing.
We decided just to watch and let the situation play itself out, being that we were so amused by it.
This is her creeping farther out of the swing:
This is an action shot of her flipping herself out of the swing:
This is where she ended up, completely underneath it:
Once she had "escaped" from the swing, she didn't care much about going anywhere else. She seemed content to just lie there.
I think we have a lot of very watchful days ahead of us. Crawling will be happening soon, and there is just no telling what she will get herself into at that point!
