We finally made it to the beach this past Saturday for the first time since moving to Florida. This was Lily's first beach visit ever. About 15 minutes after getting there, she started getting really fussy. I was worried that she was going to hate the beach. Turned out she just needed a nap. After an hour of sleeping - she loved everything about it! Sorry these are all cell phone pics - the camera battery died after taking 1 picture.
Arrival:
Checking out the sand:
Beach nap:
Pensive beach thoughts:
I think I'm ready now:
Yup, I definitely see something shout-worthy:
Papa, please hold my sand:
I think I could get used to this:
I'd like to throw that phone in the ocean if you'll let me:
Shovelling Mommy's foot could be fun:
She played in the sand, sat in the surf and shoveled and splashed, we went out farther and her Daddy found sand dollars for her to play with. She loved watching the parasailers because they looked like giant ballons to her, and to say she is obsessed with balloons would be an understatement.
It was a very fun day, and hopefully we'll go back soon!
