Father's Day, etc.

My girls have the best daddy. He cares so much about doing the right thing for them all the time. He puts so much effort into always being better for them. There is not much that makes me happier than when I see him make Lily laugh, and I can't wait to see him holding Penny.

We really celebrated Father's Day on the Saturday before when we went to Sun Splash Water Park. Lily is a crazy person. This green slide is the one she was obsessed with:

It is actually two slides, both identical. She was allowed to go down it with a life jacket on and with an adult, so she went down it twice. She was obsessed. She is such a daredevil, all the time.
Our friend Jordan went with us, so he rode the adult rides with Clay while Lily and I played in the kid section or the lazy river. We had a blast, and she was VERY tired by the time we left.

Sunday was an amazing day at church. Our pastor gave such a great message, challenging the men to be bold for Christ. It was also my Gramma's birthday, so we all went out to dinner to celebrate her and the dads. It was so sweet watching Lily sing happy birthday to her. Then Lily wanted to wear my Gramma's locket, and she kept opening it to look at the pictures of my Gramma and Grampa inside, and that made me feel like my Grampa was there with us.

The weekend did take a toll on me, though. Friday I spent all day at Sanibel and then Saturday was at the water park. Apparently I did not drink enough, because I got dehydrated. It's that Florida sun...
I was feeling really weak and having Braxton Hicks by Tuesday morning, and I decided to work from my recliner at home. It was pretty bad by that evening, and my blood pressure was also low. I rested on Wednesday, and only worked for an hour that morning. I am almost back to normal now, but I am still getting tired very easily. That could be just because I only have a little over 8 weeks left, though.
My mom came over and did a bunch of cleaning for me and also organizing in the nursery. It was such a relief to have the nursery cleaned out from all the junk that has lived in that room for the past year.

The doctor did call and schedule the c-section this week, so that was exciting. It will be August 20th. Eric's birthday is the 15th, and his fiance's is the 19th, so they have been arguing over when the baby would be born, so I was sorry to disappoint both of them. I guess she could be born earlier, but based on the fact that we had to go in and take Lily out at 8 days late, I kind of doubt it. I am under orders from both my mom and Clay to take it pretty easy for the rest of the pregnancy. Clay has already been alarmed at my level of clumsiness. It is normally pretty bad, but pregnancy just seems to elevate it.

Next Friday morning my parents will leave with Lily to go to Orlando. They will go to Sea World a couple of the days and stay in their resort, and they won't come back until the next Monday afternoon. Clay and I will be on our own for almost 4 days, so we are trying to think of ways to really spend some time on our marriage and having fun together before we are in the thick of those sleepless newborn nights. If you have any ideas for us, pass them along!
