Lily's 3rd Birthday

I can't believe my Lily girl turned 3 on the 17th. Time has gone by way too quickly.
She is so much fun to be around and so sweet. Her personality has such a range to it. She is super girly. She will tell you her favorite colors are pink and purple. The doors in the preschool at church are painted and she always has to walk through the purple one. But she is also obsessed with pirates and bugs. Yesterday she spent hours playing with Batman and Robin (who were invisible to me) and leading them around by holding their imaginary hands. She sings constantly in the shower - it is adorable - I like to stop whatever I am doing and just listen to her. I hear her say, "She is SSOOOO cute!!!" about 648974834 times a day about her baby sister. My favorite thing that she does right now is when she tells me, "Mommy, I love you so much", just completely out of the blue. Probably her favorite thing to do right now is swim. She has a whole bunch of swim toys now that she loves to dive for. Her recent addition to her swimming talents is holding herself under water. She will use the pole or the ladder to hold herself under and reach toys. She amazes me with how driven she is about it. She always wants to do better, and she always gets frustrated with herself when she doesn't get all the toys at once off the bottom. I have to remind her that she is only 3 and shouldn't get so frustrated with herself. Right now her favorite food is chicken, bananas, and yogurt, but she will eat ketchup on anything. She is fully potty trained during the day (which she accomplished a week before Penny was born, thank goodness!), and only wears a pull-up when she sleeps at night.

We decided to be much more laid back about her birthday this year. The weekends before her birthday went to chuck e cheese with just family, and then went to see a movie.

She has already learned how to get a man to hold her purse :)

She FREAKED when the actual mouse came out. Not sure why - we have only been there once before a long time ago, but she was obsessed.

Watching Despicable Me 2 on Papa's lap.

On her actual birthday night we sang to her and let her blow out candles on a cupcake. Her gift from us was a Doc McStuffins dress up kit. She loves to do pretend checkups on people and says "the doc is in!" almost every time she goes into her bedroom, ha!

I can't wait to see how she grows and changes in this coming year. I am so thankful to be her mommy.
