HALF A YEAR

This month has been so full of adventures. Lily has grown so much, and her fine motor skills are really developing. She started solid food, we dedicated her, she stopped having to do everything in a car seat, and she celebrated her first Saint Patrick's Day.

Lily's Dedication was more about us making a promise than about her having to do anything. It was really a special evening, and when the pastor said that some people aren't able to have children and we should feel blessed, it brought a tear to my eye. I know that feeling all too well, and I feel blessed every single moment that I have her. I hope Clay and I never forget to thank God for her.

Having family and friends there, and praying over her was an amazing expereince.

We were so proud of her when she started solids- she has done so well with it and is having so much fun trying everything. It has been a game for me to find things in the store that I have never heard of so that she never runs out of things to try.

In just the last 2 weeks she has had: steak, chicken, zuchini, yellow squash, butternut squash, carrot, sweet potato, apple, pear, plum, mango, avacado, cucumber, broccoli, rice cake, bread, oranges, oatmeal, banana, and I'm sure there's something I'm forgetting!!!

We took a special trip to Alabama to see her cousins, who she adores.

She helped her Daddy celebrate his birthday this month.

And we had all kinds of other fun!!!

We have fun playing in the car while waiting for Daddy to get off work each day.

She woke up early one morning, so she just hung out in our bed and watched us as we got ready.

Nothing warms my heart like when she snuggles with her daddy.

If I send her with her Daddy for a diaper change it almost always takes 3 times longer because they spend so much time playing!!!

Waking up on her half-birthday.
